Unique Fotona SMOOTH® mode with Gold standard Er:YAG

TimeWalker® IntimaLaser™ lasers deliver patented sequential Er:YAG SMOOTH® mode laser pulses to the vaginal wall mucosa, generating controlled and optimal distribution of heat within the tissue. It allows for highly controlled, safe procedure with no impact on any critical structures, including any penetration or disruption of the mucosal lining.

Fotona’s Er:YAG laser technology is also ideal for the treatment of lesions of the uterine neck and vagina, as well as HPV lesions, pigmentations and neoplasia. Because of its unique disinfecting capability, it even promotes faster healing of infected tissue.

More

Nd:YAG and QCW Mode for Additional Applications

Fotona’s high-performance Nd:YAG laser perfectly complements the Er:YAG laser with its ability to penetrate deeply to create thermal effects without damaging the tissue surface. Its homogeneous absorption in tissue and low absorption in melanin allow it to be safely used with all skin types.

TimeWalker® IntimaLaser™ Nd:YAG laser provides the power and performance needed to handle aesthetic gynecological procedures as well as more advanced gynecological applications.

More

TimeWalker® IntimaLaser™ is more than a SMOOTH laser

The Er:YAG laser incorporated in TimeWalker® IntimaLaser™ allows the user to perform other non-surgical gynecological treatments:

Additional ablative Er:YAG procedures:

  • condylomas
  • episiotomy scars
  • C-section scars
  • labiaplasty
  • HPV lesions
  • depigmentation
  • traumatic scars

And other non-ablative Nd:YAG procedures:

  • vascular lesions
  • hair removal
  • polyp removal
  • intrauterine myomectomy
  • photobiomodulation for pain reduction
  • mucosa and skin wound healing

Top Doctors FAQ

How many treatments can be performed by one system?

An unlimited number of treatments can be performed, provided the laser system is in good working order and serviced regularly as advised.

What is the cost of a TimeWalker® IntimaLaser™ laser?

To find out the pricing and payment options, please contact your local Fotona distributor.

Who can perform the treatments?

Generally, treatments are performed by OB/GYN specialists, although in some countries other specialists can also perform the treatment. We recommend that in such cases, the treatments should be done in close collaboration with a patient gynecologist, in order to obtain the required pre-treatment information.

Are the Fotona SMOOTH® procedures safe? What are the side-effects connected to the treatments?

There have been no serious side effects connected to the procedure reported. Side effects are rare and mild, owning to the non-ablative nature of the procedure, leaving the surface of the tissue intact. Most women will experience mild swelling and discomfort for a couple of days. Many clinical studies have proven the safety of the Fotona SMOOTH® procedures. You can read more about the published clinical trials here.

Are the patients required to have a gynecological examination prior to taking the treatment?

Yes, a standard gynecological examination, including a pap-smear, should be performed prior to receiving the treatment.
