Vienna, Austria

Overview:

The entire workshop, which will be held in German, covers the use of Fotona’s laser systems in Gynecology. The practical and clinical advantages of lasers treatments and the effects of treatment parameter settings and variations thereof will be explained in great detail and discussed by experienced laser practitioners based on real case materials.

Participants will learn the basics of laser physics, safety, laser-tissue interaction and all the skills, principles and procedures necessary for using the SP Dynamis in gynecological applications, both theoretically and in practice.

 Objectives:

  • Understand effects of the different parameters settings and how to identify ideal settings for specific conditions and applications
  • Understand laser physics and laser-tissue interactions
  • Learn how to gain maximum benefit for your practice out of Fotona laser Systems
  • Learn tips and tricks from laser experts and peers

The workshop will be led by Dr. Thomas Panzitt (gynecology, Graz), certified laser instructor, and held at the gynecological clinic of Dr. Monika Löw, 1220 Wien, in Salbeigasse 9/1/5.

First Day, Friday, January 7th, 2022:

The workshop will start at 1pm. On this day we will cover the theoretical part of laser-tissue interaction, basic physics and laser safety. We will then present operation of the SP Dynamis laser system, with selection of presettings, use of the touchscreen, correct handling of the machine and different handpieces.

Second Day, Saturday, January 8th, 2022:

Starting at 10.00 am, Dr. Thomas Panzitt will be sharing his experience in gynecological practice, discussing indications, patient selection, patient preparation and aftercare, as well as tissue interaction especially as applies to gynecology. We will present the intraurethral handpiece and G-Runner in a live demo, and will be treating live patients with different gynecological indications, including incontinence, prolapse, and Lichen sclerosus. If desired we can also shortly cover an overview of aesthetic indications.
